Elite Traveler celebrated the launch of its annual watch issue at an exclusive event at Aston Martin’s NYC flagship, Q New York.
The edition celebrates haute horlogerie by shining a light on 50 incredible new timepieces. It also features the annual collection of Top Cars, which includes Aston Martin’s stunning DB12. Q New York is a thrilling new addition to Park Avenue, bringing a touch of London’s Savile Row to the Big Apple.
The 140 ultra-affluent guests in attendance, ranging from private jet travelers to watch enthusiasts, got up close and personal with Aston Martin’s present line-up including the DB12 and the DBX707, as well as the iconic DB5. For those more inclined to two-wheel, the event also saw a rare display of Infinite Machine’s futuristic P1 personal electric vehicle.
Girard-Perregaux presented guests with the opportunity to try on one of its Laureato sports watches. The Laureato has been a cornerstone of the Swiss brand since launching in 1975 and remains as beautiful now as it was then.
Armand de Brignac offered its instantly recognizable Brut Gold champagne for welcome drinks and Testino Events provided elevated canapes throughout the evening. Testino is the go-to for Elite Traveler events, regularly providing seasonal delights that cater to our discerning readership.
Corey Zaretsky, Elite Traveler’s SVP of multimedia, provided a welcome address before handing over to Aston Martin quartermaster Lisa Anastas, who gave a brief introduction to the carmaker’s fascinating history as well as the story behind Q New York, which opened in summer 2023.
Guests were then left to peruse the space and sample high-end cocktails made with Cincoro Tequila, D’USSÉ Cognac, Stoli Elit Vodka and Scapegrace Gin, and wine from Cloudy Bay. Cincoro also offered guests a custom engraving on bottles of its small batch tequila.
Elite Traveler’s long-term destination partner, Four Seasons Resort Lanai, brought warmth to a brisk New York evening, all soundtracked with music by DJ Dan Oldja.
