There are few things that scream summer more than a glass of perfectly cold and gorgeously crisp pale Provence rosé – but for when the occasion calls for something a little more creative, a rosé cocktail is just the ticket.
As you would if you were just sipping on a glass, choosing the best rosé for mixing into a cocktail is vital, and wine aficionados around the world find it hard to disagree that Whispering Angel (i.e., the wine credited for kicking off the so-called rosé revolution) is a safe bet, no matter the occasion.
Produced in the quintessentially French Chateau d’Esclans in the heart of Provence, Whispering Angel is made from a careful blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino) grapes, resulting in that coppery pale pink hue.
Beautifully dry with a crisp hit of summer fruits, the one-of-a-kind rosé could safely find a home in any wine-based cocktail, from a spritz to even a sour, but to really pull out those irresistible summer flavors fresh blackberries can’t be beaten.

Teaming Whispering Angel rosé and juicy muddled blackberries with a hit of smooth Belvedere Vodka and a fresh kick of mint, the Sunset Rose is nothing short of summer in a glass. Don’t be fooled by the fresh taste though – rosé wine and vodka isn’t a pairing to mess with on the hangover front.
While the recipe is refreshingly straightforward, to make this summer’s cocktail hours even more simple, Whispering Angel and Belvedere have teamed up to create a cocktail kit complete with everything you need to whip up a batch of this year’s must-have tipple.
Ingredients:
– 3 oz Whispering Angel
