With cruises back in a big way following nearly two years’ worth of disruption, Silversea has unveiled details of its latest Grand Voyage itinerary, which will take guests on a 71-day day journey through the mesmerizing sights of Central and South America.
Setting sail from Fort Lauderdale on January 4, 2024, the Grand Voyage cruise takes guests around the entire coast of South America, calling at some of the continent’s most iconic destinations. With a focus on immersing guests in the incomparably vibrant culture of Central and South America, each stop has been carefully chosen, with some unrivaled experiences to be expected on land.
Highlights include a traditional folklore show in the Panama Canal, a bespoke heritage tour at Callao Monumental, a visit to the Peruvian city of Lima, a stop at Buenos Aires, a maiden call to Ilhabela, exploring Ushuaia at South America’s southernmost tip, and an evening with the Bridgetown polo players and an extended stay at Rio di Janeiro. During this three-day stop, guests will have the chance to discover one of the biggest events on the city’s calendar with front-row tickets to Rio Carnival.

The culture doesn’t stop on land, however, with Silversea’s celebrated Sea And Land Taste program (SALT) capturing the flavors of South America and recreating them onboard for the all-inclusive food offering, using carefully selected local ingredients and time-honored culinary traditions and techniques.
As well as cruising through oceans, the Silversea Grand Voyage South America will take a turn inland during one of the final legs of its journey to explore the meandering Amazon River. Here guests will be able to marvel at the diverse natural wonder that is the Amazon Rainforest, with once-in-a-lifetime wildlife spottings aplenty.
Grand Voyage South America guests will be among the first in the world to experience the all-new Silva Nova. Hailed as one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships in the world thanks to her advanced hybrid technology, Silva Nova has the unique ability to be completely emission-free at port, setting a new standard in sustainable cruises.
