This 10-day itinerary by alpine travel company extraordinaire Leo Trippi explores some of Switzerland’s highest peaks and untouched slopes.
You’ll spend time in St Moritz, Andermatt and Zermatt: Explore the challenging terrain; go heli-skiing to the Hüfi Glacier; tackle the famous Bernhard Russi black run—as well as the Giraffe and Geissberg off-piste routes—before popping over to Italy for a well-deserved lunch.
Then it’s on to Verbier where the 250 miles of piste at Les 4 Vallées are your snowy playground. Enjoy some après-ski at Clos de Tsampéhro, where you’ll sample some traditional Valais wine. You’ll stay at Chalet Renée at Crans-Montana, where a chef from a Michelin-starred restaurant can be flown in to whip up a mountain-inspired feast.
Ski in the Crans-Montana area (it’s good for both intermediate and powder skiers) or take the chairlift to La Toula for a challenge — the Piste Nationale is seven miles in length. On the final day, a helicopter will take you to the top of Glacier 3000 in Villars les Diablerets, where over 69 miles of jaw-dropping slopes and scenery await.
Looking to improve your technique? Former World Cup Skiers Marc Garcia and Jean-Jacques Rey can join you for a day to challenge your skiing ability.
