This year has been particularly special for Clase Azul México. As the company celebrates its 25th anniversary, they have also announced an entirely new arm of the business, Clase Azul Destinations.
These new destinations will be the ideal place for tequila lovers to experience Clase Azul — one of the world’s best tequilas — in its ultimate form. Everything Clase Azul does, including these new spaces are inspired by the colorful and culturally abundant nation of Mexico, so there is no doubt that these new spots will be a real treat for visitors.
Clase Azul Los Cabos is the first of these destinations, located in San José del Cabo in the incredibly beautiful (and beloved by those in the know) Baja California Sur. This new luxury hub will include a restaurant, a bar, an omakase experience, a boutique and more. With all that variety it’s sure to be an ideal spot for luxury lovers of all kinds, and perfect for those who want the full Clase Azul experience.
“We exist to captivate the world through the magic of Mexican culture, and our distillates are just the beginning,” says Arturo Lomelí, founder of Clase Azul México. “We want to create spaces where our brand comes to life.”
In typical Clase Azul México fashion, Clase Azul Los Cabos takes its inspiration from its surroundings, San José del Cabo is where land meets the sea, it’s a concept that can be seen throughout Clase Azul Los Cabos.
Food
No must-see destination is complete without its own must-visit restaurant, Clase Azul La Terraza ticks that box.
The delicate cuisine has been curated by Clase Azul México’s in-house gastronomic team which is led by creative chef Iván Arias. The menu features dishes that have been born through his and the team’s culinary journey through La Baja — Mexico’s northwestern peninsula, home to Clase Azul Los Cabos.
Showing a true commitment to Mexico and the region, all ingredients have been sourced locally. This not only guarantees high quality produce but helps to form a relationship with local producers, thereby making it easy to ensure ethical practices and fair trade.
Visitors to San José del Cabo will undoubtedly have a new favorite restaurant.

Mexico and the La Baja region in particular is one of diverse culinary influence. Omakase at Clase Azul Los Cabos wears this influence on its sleeve. One of the greatest ways to experience a destination is through the food and Omakase is one of the best new places to do it.
Taking its namesake from omakase — a Japanese custom where guests give control to the chef and let them choose what is served. This experience allows visitors to forget everything else, not worry about what to pick from a menu and simply observe as the chef prepares 14 courses in front of them.
Drink
Since its founding 25 years ago, Clase Azul has encouraged its customers to enjoy their tequila and mezcal neat to experience the full breadth of its flavor profile. This advice has not changed, but at El Bar, things are done a little differently.
For the first time, Clase Azul has created an environment where it encourages guests to take a journey into mixology. Special cocktails have been crafted from a selection of Clase Azul spirits by beverage strategist Sheila Zenteno. These unique cocktails have been influenced by ingredients that embody the region of La Baja, so they are a perfect way for travelers to sample the local flavors.
Naturally, El Bar will also serve a full selection of beverages in addition to tequila and mezcal, artisanal beer and wine lovers will not be disappointed.
Those looking for the ultimate Clase Azul México tasting experience should look no further than A Taste of Culture at Los Cabos. Initially launched in 2021, A Taste of Culture takes guests on a multisensory tasting journey through Clase Azul’s tequilas and mezcals.
Understanding that the best way to experience a culture is through all the senses, A Taste of Culture is a theatrically inspired experience where visitors taste five different Clase Azul Icons. Each icon arrives with a special pairing that has been designed to enhance the tasting notes of each spirit.
Those interested in this ultimate sampling opportunity should book early, with only eight seats available it is an experience that has been designed to be intimate.
