NWS Birmingham continues a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY until 12:00 pm Monday for the following counties in Central Alabama: Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.

Sunday Morning Thoughts on the Potential for Wintry Mischief on Monday

Dreary For Much Of The Rest Of Your Thursday; Sunshine Returns On Friday

Some Travel Issues Occurring In Cherokee County Due To Snow; Just Showers For The Rest Of Us

Some travel issues are being reported in Cherokee County as snow is falling, but those issues will clear up just before midday as temperatures will make a quick rebound into the lower 50s to the lower 60s.

More Counties Removed From Remaining Winter Weather Advisory In Central Alabama

NWS Birmingham has canceled the Winter Weather Advisory for Fayette, Walker, and Winston counties, and continues the advisory until 2:00 am for Blount, Cherokee, and Etowah counties.

Slick Spots Possible On Bridges, Overpasses, & In The Higher Terrain

As we approach the 10 o'clock hour on this Tuesday night, we continue to have a good bit of rain moving across the northwestern 2/3rds of the state with snow falling roughly northeast of a line from Vernon to Fayette to Sumiton.
