Heavy Rain & A Few Severe Storms Possible Today

A couple of tornadoes, damaging winds up to 60 mph, hail up to quarter size, and a few flash flooding issues will be possible this afternoon and evening. Have your plan of safety and your safe place ready just in case your location goes under a warning.

Showers Possible Today; Severe Storms Possible Tomorrow, Thursday, & This Weekend

Pesky Clouds Hide the Sun For Most This Afternoon; Severe Threats on Wednesday & This Weekend

As of 2:50 pm, skies across North/Central Alabama remain partly to mostly cloudy, but that has not held back those afternoon temperatures. Those temperatures are running in the upper 60s to the upper 70s according to the 2 pm roundup.

At Midday on Christmas Day — Warm and Dry Through Monday; Severe Threat Introduced for Wednesday

While most of the area's skies have cleared out, some of the northern and northeastern parts of the area are still putting up with some cloud cover. This cloud cover could keep the afternoon highs from reaching the forecasted potential for today.
