Flash Flood Watch For Portions Of Central Alabama Has Been Canceled

…FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED…

The threat of flash flooding has ended for today and the Flash Flood Watch has been canceled. Light additional rainfall amounts between one quarter and one half of an inch can be expected through the day today. In some locations, areal flooding will remain an issue with some roadways still impassible. Flooding of rivers, streams, and creeks through the rest of the week will also remain an issue. Interests along major rivers and streams should closely monitor the latest river forecasts over the coming days. Counties include Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston, Walker, Blount, Etowah, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Sumter, Greene, Hale, and Bibb.
