Still Rather Chilly Under All Of This Sunshine At Midday

As of 12:00 pm, everyone across Central Alabama was enjoying clear and sun-filled skies with temperatures still remaining mighty cool at this point. As of the noon roundup, most locations were in the 40s with the only exception being Haleyville at 39 degrees. Troy and Tuscaloosa were tied as the warm spots at 47 degrees. Birmingham was at 44 degrees. The wind is not helping it feel any better as it is a bit breezy at times out of the northwest reaching as high as 20 MPH as times.

A cold front will try to push its way into the northern parts of the state later this evening, but high pressure off to our west will move in our direction and keep the front out of here. Much of Central Alabama will remain sunny through the end of the daylight hours, but a stray cloud or two may float overhead in the extreme northern portions of the area. Afternoon highs should top out in the mid-40s to the lower 50s across the area. Clear and cold for tonight with overnight lows reaching the mid to upper 20s. Some patchy fog may develop over and along any bodies of water.

Maximum sunshine with slightly warmer temperatures can be expected for your Thursday as high pressure will dominate our weather. There will hardly be any wind and afternoon highs look to get up into the lower to mid-50s.
