What Does Mother Nature Hold For Us After The Severe Threat, Including A Sneak Peek At Christmas

Improving Conditions But Colder On Tuesday
Rain and thunderstorms will come to an end right at or just after daybreak on Tuesday morning and we’ll be left with much colder air in place with clouds slowly clearing out. Temperatures at 12:01 am will be around the lower 50s to the mid-60s, but will drop down into the lower 40s to the mid-50s by midday.

Plenty Of Sunshine For Wednesday & Thursday
We’ll have maximum sunshine throughout the day on Wednesday which we can only hope to make those highs in the upper 40s to the lower 50s feel warmer than what they are. Thursday is almost a carbon copy to start with, but clouds will begin to move in late in the day and into the night. Thursday’s highs will be in the lower to mid-50s.

A Shower Or Two Possible Late On Friday
Another system will be heading our way for the weekend that will bring clouds into the area for the last Friday before Christmas. We may be able to squeeze a light shower out of those clouds during the late-night and into the overnight hours, but chances are small at this point. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s.

The Central Alabama Weekend Starts Off With A Shower Or Two Possible
The system moves through Central Alabama on Saturday bringing with it a few showers across the area, but those overall amounts for the day will be less than 1/4 inch. Sunday will be a dry day with decreasing clouds during the morning and plenty of sunshine for the afternoon. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 50s with Sunday warming into the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

A Sneak Peek Into Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
At this point, both days look to be dry, but clouds may move in late in the day on Christmas Eve and may make the Christmas Day skies a little dull and gray. Highs look to be in the 60s at this point, but this is still well out into Voodoo Land. This may and probably will change over the next several days.
