Sunshine Helping To Make These Cooler Temperatures Feel Not So Bad At Midday

The latest satellite image at 12:00 pm shows sunny skies across nearly all of Central Alabama with the exception of the extreme southeastern corner of the area. Temperatures across the area are now in the lower 40s to the lower 50s from northwest to southeast. Cullman was the cool spot at 40 degrees while the warm spot was Montgomery at 52 degrees. Birmingham has made it up to 46 degrees.

Skies will be sunny for the rest of the daylight hours across Central Alabama and temperatures will continue to recover nicely from last night’s cold. Highs will top out in the upper 40s to the mid-50s across the area from northwest to southeast. Skies will be clear for tonight and through the overnight hours with lows dipping into the lower 30s to the lower 40s.

Much of the day on Thursday will be dry and a touch warmer than today, but we will see showers move back into the area during the evening to late-night hours and persisting through a good chunk of Friday. We’ll start off with plenty of sunshine during the morning hours before clouds start to work in during the early afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-50s across Central Alabama. Rain chances on Thursday night through the overnight hours will range from 40% in the northwest to 80% in the southeast.
