NWS Birmingham Introduces A Marginal Risk For Southwest Parts Of The Area

NWS Birmingham has introduced a Marginal Risk of severe storms today with the main window occurring from 1:00 pm this afternoon through 10:00 pm tonight. Main threat will be from damaging winds up to 60 MPH, but a brief tornado or two cannot be ruled out.

The Marginal Risk includes locations along and south of a line from Geiger to Marion to Fort Deposit.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the counties served by the National Weather Service office in Birmingham.

DAY ONE…Outlook through Tonight.

There is a Marginal Risk of severe storms from 1 PM to 10 PM near and south of a line from Panola in Pickens County to Letohatchee in Lowndes County. The primary threats include a brief tornado and damaging straight line winds.
