All we can say is… “What a day!!!” We have sunny skies across Central Alabama and temperatures in the mid-60s to the lower 70s across the area. Birmingham was at 68 degrees. Haleyville and Pell City were tied as the cool spots at 64 degrees, while Uniontown was topping out at 71 degrees as the warm spot.
Skies will stay sunny throughout the rest of the day and clear throughout the overnight hours. Highs will top out in the upper 60s to the lower 70s while lows will drop in the lower to mid-40s. Some of the cooler spots may drop into the 30s.
It will be another awesome day on Thursday as skies will remain sunny throughout the day. It will be slightly warmer with highs reaching the lower to mid-70s.
THE TROPICS: A tropical wave is currently located over the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, and the adjacent waters of the northwestern Caribbean Sea and the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. This disturbance is forecast to move west-northwestward and emerge over the Bay of Campeche on Thursday, and then move northward and northeastward into the southwestern and central Gulf of Mexico on Friday and Saturday. Some development will be possible on Friday and early Saturday before the system merges with a cold front by early Sunday.
