A strong thunderstorm is currently moving into the northern parts of Jefferson County, and NWS Birmingham has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for East Central Walker and Northwestern Jefferson counties until 5:30 pm this evening. Here is the text from NWS Birmingham:
At 436 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Arkadelphia to Dora. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.
Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Northwestern Birmingham, Bessemer, Hueytown, Gardendale, Fairfield, Fultondale, Sumiton, Dora, Center Point, Pleasant Grove, Clay, Pinson, Tarrant, Midfield, Adamsville, Warrior, Brighton, Kimberly, Graysville and Morris.
